eBook Available!
Big news, citizens. In preparation for the launch of The Devil Yearns for the Perfect Denver Omelet and Other Revelations, I've gone ahead and released a 5,000 word eBook entitled Absurdities Twice Translated. It's a fairly experimental little volume, featuring a collection of 7 surreal flash fiction pieces. Each piece is presented in its original form and then followed by an odd more dada version as the text is put through online translation software twice and the newly distorted piece is shaped into something similar to a prose poem.
The effect makes for an interesting read, and at only $.99 (the lowest price Amazon allows) it's a great deal. It is currently only available from the Kindle Store, but I will be making it available via Smashwords in the coming days. Simply click on the cover at left for your chance to check it out.
Special reminder for the many among us who do not own Kindles:
You do not need a Kindle to download or read books from the Kindle store! Amazon offers software for both smart phones and computers to allow you to read these eBooks on a wide variety of devices. If you have never tried an eBook before, Absurdities Twice Translated is a great introduction. The stories are short but engaging, perfect for testing how eBook readability works for you. Likewise, it is the perfect book for a person on the move as some stories are short enough to be read on an elevator ride! Again, ideal for reading in those odd moments when you might otherwise be playing yet another game of Angry Birds.
